The name Mansouj comes from the Arabic word for “woven.” Our handmade coverlets are woven in Akhmim—one of Egypt’s oldest and most celebrated weaving communities, where generations of artisans have preserved their craft for centuries.

Our coverlets and throws are made by hand.
Every Mansouj coverlet and throw is woven on traditional wooden looms by artisans in Akhmim, one of Egypt’s oldest weaving towns. No two are exactly alike, and that is the point.
Our coverlets and throws are handwoven; our other bedding is not.

Which size do I need?
Measure your mattress width and length in cm and choose the same size. Jersey sheets fit mattresses up to 30 cm deep.
Why doesn’t jersey have a thread count?
Jersey is knitted, like a T-shirt, not woven. Thread count only applies to woven fabrics such as percale and sateen.
Percale or sateen?
Percale is crisp and matte; sateen is smooth with a subtle sheen. They are separate products with their own pages.
Does a duvet cover include the duvet?
No. The duvet insert is sold separately.
Why does my coverlet look slightly different from the photo?
Each coverlet is woven by hand in Akhmim, so small variations in colour and pattern are normal.
